These pledges are achieved by designing maintenance and support concepts that maximize the use of existing commercial infrastructures to reduce support costs. The maintenance concept adopted for the Wescam products also exploits a design which utilizes common / modular system components, resulting in a low training burden.

Field Service Representatives (FSRs)

Wescam’s support approach includes performing as many of the repairs onsite as possible to return systems to active duty swiftly. Wescam FSRs are factory-trained technicians, experienced in performing, diagnostics and repairs onsite, anywhere in the world. This component of Wescam’s solution is maximized to ensure removal of systems from operational sites and associated downtimes are kept at a minimum.

International Service Centers (ISCs) / Field Service Representatives (FSRs)

Wescam has expanded its global support capabilities with strategically located International Service Centers (ISC)s. The ISCs provide seamless worldwide support services. ISC Technicians are factory trained and certified, following Wescam in-house procedures. Available to be dispatched within 24 hours, FSRs, from ISC locations, are experienced in performing, diagnostics and repairs onsite, as well as completing repair tasks at their facilities. Wescam has made significant capital investments with its ISCs to ensure customers’ systems have the highest operational availability possible.

Additionally, Wescam is able to leverage support from other L-3 Communications companies.
