550 provides a comprehensive range of data I/O that

A typical standalone
system configuration consists of front-end
chassis, with application-specific real-time VME
boards, connected to one or more workstations via
a Local Area Network. The workstation(s)
interface with the System 550 front end for dynamic
real-time data display, distribution, and analysis.
