Communications Space & Navigation Division Conducts Opening
Ceremony
BUDD LAKE, NJ, July 2, 2003 - L-3 Communications
Space & Navigation
(L-3 S&N) announced today that the division has moved to a
new facility in Budd Lake, NJ in the International Trade Center,
conveniently located off of US Interstate 80. Mr. Larry Schwartz,
L-3 Communications Navigation Products Group president, officially
opened the facility. The Honorable Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen
(R)-NJ. was guest speaker and guest of Honor. Also attending the
ceremony was Mayor Paul Licitra of Mount Olive Township.
The new facility will allow L-3 Space & Navigation the ability
to enhance its high level of performance required by its customers.
Additionally, L-3S&N recently received certification to the
new International Standard ANSI/ISO/ASQ Q9001:2000 quality management
system requirements which constitutes an upgrade of the Q9001:1994
document. L-3 S&N's compliance to the ISO 9001:2000 standards
ensures a quality management system that will meet or exceed future
contract requirements.
"This facility will allow our division to service our customers
through optimization of our manufacturing and engineering operations
in a very desirable location." said Paul Wengen, president
of L-3 Space & Navigation. "This move further emphasizes
L-3 Communications commitment to the Space & Navigation business
since the division was acquired in 1999."
