EMS SYSTEM: Fast. Accurate. Proven.
Reliable.
Electronic Maintenance System (EMS) was developed
in partnership with the U.S. Army to provide faster, more accurate
maintenance and repair of equipment at the front line and flight
line.
EMS reduces No Evidence Of Failure (NEOF) and Mean
Time To Repair (MTTR). Its unique "intrusive diagnostics" design
distinguishes it from other classes of electronic manuals. EMS provides
real-time interaction between the soldier and the equipment by acquiring
data from embedded sensors and busses. The malfunction and fix are
quickly diagnosed, accelerating the troubleshooting process. Taking
maintenance to the next level, EMS enables maintenance prognostics
by collecting maintenance data for transmission to the Predictive
Maintenance Module (PMM) via the Global Combat Support System-Army
(GCSS-A).
No longer do accurate maintenance and repair depend
solely on the knowledge of individual personnel. On-line instructional
videos guide the technician through diagnostic troubleshooting and
repair procedures to automated parts ordering.
The EMS is a portable maintenance expert, containing
a comprehensive, easily updated database. Extensive user testing
has proven its effectiveness in the field and at the maintenance
depot.
EMS Authoring System is in use by Interactive Electronic
Technical Manual (IETM) developers, with applications for vehicles
currently fielded by the Army and Marine Corps. Tactical and Combat
Systems using EMS include vehicles such as the stryker, PLS, HMMWV,
FMTV and MTVR
