We supply the C/D Dual Blade antenna for the F-16 jet fighter manufactured by Lockheed Martin-Fort Worth. This antenna operates in conjunction with the AN/ALR-46, -67 and -56M processors to provide threat warning and direction finding in the C/D frequency range. The F-16 C/D DF and Omni antenna is a belly-mounted design developed at Randtron Antenna Systems as a result of ongoing demands for upgrades to the original ALR-69 Low Band DF antenna. The antenna was customized to the F-16 to provide unique, omni-directional coverage requirements that are compatible with the ALR-69 and -74 Threat Analyzer. To avoid a redesign of the Threat Analyzers, amplifiers and associated components were incorporated directly into the antenna. In this way the unit offered improved DF capability, higher omni gain and continued to maintain compatibility with the BITE system. We have designed these dual blade antennas for:
