The M-1A system is an innovative tactical COMINT and DF solution for manned airborne intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) systems. The M-1A system provides conventional signal coverage for VHF and UHF bands, with optional system extensions for HF and for UHF “modern signal” exploitation. The “modern signal” exploitation option (Advanced M-1A) includes state-of-the-art digital adaptive beamforming for co-channel interference mitigation. In addition to other basic features, the system includes embedded navigation interfaces and multi-operator capability, with a simplified graphical user interface (GUI) designed for rapid training and operational efficiency.
