L3-NSN’s AN/TSC-168 System is configured as a Dual Hub designed to operate over C-, X-, Ku- and military Ka-band satellites. The system is capable of operating over the commercial C- and Ku-band frequencies as well as the new commercial LORAL XTAR X-band satellite. In addition, the L3-NSN GMT has the capability to be certified to operate over the Government’s X-band Defense Satellite Communications Systems (DSCS) and the soon to be launched Wideband Gapfiller Satellite (WGS) System, which includes the military Ka-band frequencies. The GMT terminal including the 2.4 meter High Wind Antenna (HWA) and Large Aperture Antenna (LAA) equipment kits is contained in weatherproof transit cases and when packaged for transit, the entire system less the power distribution panels (PDP) fits on one 463L pallet. The terminal is designed for repeated worldwide tactical deployment with a proven set-up and teardown time of under one hour.
