NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep. 18, 2012-- L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced today that its L-3 Link Simulation & Training UK (Link UK) business in Crawley, U.K., has been awarded a contract by China-based Spring Airlines to deliver two A320 Full Flight Simulators and one A320 Flat Panel Trainer.

All of the training devices, which will be built by L-3 Link UK, will be delivered during the fourth quarter of 2013 to the airline’s future training center at Shanghai Pudong International Airport.

Both A320 Full Flight Simulators will employ L-3 Link UK’s modular RealitySeven simulation architecture. Spring Airlines becomes the 13^th customer worldwide for our RealitySeven simulator solution, which uses commercial-off-the-shelf technologies to reduce a trainer’s life-cycle costs. The A320 Flat Panel Trainer will support procedural training, decreasing the amount of time required in the Full Flight Simulators.
