L-3 Announces Appointments of Michael Alber and Ray Guillaume to Its Services Group

New Hires Further Strengthen Financial Leadership of Engility's Management Team

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jun. 5, 2012-- L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced today the appointments of Michael Alber and Ray H. Guillaume to the L-3 Services Group’s (LSG) executive leadership team effective immediately. Mr. Alber will become Engility’s chief financial officer, reporting to Tony Smeraglinolo, who is currently executive vice president of LSG and will be appointed Engility’s chief executive officer upon completion of the spin-off. Mr. Guillaume will serve as Engility’s treasurer once the planned spin-off is complete, reporting to Mr. Alber.

As Engility’s chief financial officer, Mr. Alber will oversee the company’s financial reporting, planning and analysis, and treasury and investor relations functions. With more than 30 years of corporate finance, accounting and administrative experience with federal contractors, Mr. Alber most recently served as chief financial officer and treasurer at Alion Science and Technology. He has also held senior executive positions at SAIC, where he served as a senior vice president and group controller, and at Network Solutions, Inc.

Mr. Guillaume brings to Engility substantial experience in establishing and managing treasury departments for public companies and rapidly growing companies with domestic and international operations. Most recently, he served as director of treasury at Stanley Associates and previously held treasury positions with the Titan Corporation and L-3 Communications during his combined 13 years with the companies.
