L-3 Selected to Provide Intelligence Support Services to U.S. Forces-Afghanistan

NEW YORK, Nov 10, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced today that its STRATIS division has been selected as one of three prime contractors for the Intelligence Support Services-Afghanistan (ISS-A) contract. Under this contract, L-3 has already been awarded two firm fixed-price task orders valued at $36 million to provide intelligence support to the United States Forces-Afghanistan (USFOR-A). These agreements, underway as of September 2010, have a one-year base period, plus two one-year option periods.

Under the task orders, L-3 will provide multi-functional analysis, counterintelligence support, signals intelligence analysis and program management services, as well as other supporting intelligence activities to USFOR-A, which falls under the U.S. Central Command Area of Responsibility (USCENTCOM AOR).
