MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR

Report To: Manufacturing Manager

Key Role:
Responsible for supervision of other manufacturing engineers and developing assembly/process procedures for complex, high reliability, electromechanical assemblies

Job Description:
• The review of new designs for manufacturability, development of custom assembly tooling, assembly procedure composition, and manufacturing support during production and installation
• This is primarily a hands-on position in which the engineer will be spending most of the time on the floor interfacing with the manufacturing staff along with the quality and design engineering departments
• The position will require travel and going to sea on occasion

Experience/Education:
• 10+ years experience in manufacturing as an engineer and supervisor
• BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology
• The engineer must have good interaction and writing skills
• Must have experience working with fiber optics including handling, splicing and taking and understanding OTDR measurements
• Experience in polyurethane and polyethylene molding is highly desired
