Under the U.S. Navy Modification/Installation Program (MIP), L-3/IS stands ready to design, develop, fabricate and install various structural modifications in all type/model/series P-3 Orion and S-3 Viking aircraft.

The Selected SRP Kit Installation Program (SSKIP), which installs selected kits from the Sustained Readiness Program (SRP) and the Block Modification Upgrade Program (BMUP), which installs P-3 Update III kits into Update II aircraft, are currently being performed under MIP.

Other MIP Programs include:

• Fabrication of unique support equipment
• Production of operator & maintenance trainer devices, training and Technical and Logistics Support

L-3/IS performs this wide array of modification effort at both the Greenville and Waco, Texas facilities as well as using field teams to support U.S. Navy requirements at any location worldwide.

The MIP program is structured to accommodate international requirements via the U.S. Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program, as well as domestic DoD requirements.
