L-3 Flight International received a $16 M dollar extension to their U.S. Navy
contract to provide commercial aircraft services for of Military Operations Support.
On January 1, 2008 the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded a contract modification
to extend L-3 Flight International's Contract N00019-02-D-3157 for a 9 month period, if all
3-month option periods are exercised. Under the contract L-3 Flight International provides
commercial air services of various types to support fleet combat readiness training. Aircraft
capabilities requirements include, but are not limited to, the carrying of external pods for
Electronic Warfare, target towing, and internal military operations, i.e., Air Intercept Control,
Electronic Combat, Antisubmarine Air Control, and RDT&E Electronic Combat. In flight air test
services are also provided under the contract in support of the Naval Research Laboratory.
