L-3 ES has a wealth of diverse experience in the manufacture of high-reliability avionics and vetronics for the military marketplace, with a proven record of implementing technology from the design and prototype phase to fielded systems.

From surface mount, plated through-hole and electro-mechanical assembly and LED/LCD display lamination and ruggedization to qualification, in-circuit and final system testing, we have the tools, people and expertise to handle a wide range of advanced manufacturing tasks, at both the prototype and production stage.

Our complete manufacturing services include technology transfer configuration management, material planning and procurement, assembly and test. Coupled with our engineering support services such as design to cost, rapid prototype development and test equipment design and build, our complete operations yield impressive efficiencies.

In addition, we are proactive in Industrial Regional Benefits (IRB) in Canada and fluent and flexible when it comes to responding to the offset requirements demanded by foreign suppliers, offering low-risk build-to-print manufacturing services that can help to fulfill IRB obligations.

Manufacturing takes place in our Toronto and Halifax facilities, where we are equipped with sophisticated tooling and test equipment that can be readily reconfigured to meet all the challenges of cost-effective production. We employ a paperless factory concept, whereby each assembly workstation and test station has a PC that is connected to a PC server controlled Intranet. This keeps obsolete drawings out of the assembly area and minimizes process variation.

Dedicated to 100% on-time delivery, our manufacturing workmanship capability is registered to the current requirements of IPC-J-STD-001, Transport Canada and both ISO 9001:2000 and Aerospace Standard AS9100 Quality Systems - Quality Assurance in Design/Development Production, Installation & Servicing. Our suppliers are audited/approved using vendor quality rating and tracking systems to ensure compliance to quality program requirements.
