L-3 ES' Toronto facility houses a full
service Carousel IV depot-level repair and overhaul facility
that provides intermediate-level maintenance, covering levels
1 through 4.
We support 4,000 commercial and 4,000 military INUs worldwide
and 2,000 Performance Management Systems (PMS). We repair approximately
4,000 spares per year. We provide ongoing parts obsolescence
management and test equipment modernization.

Carousel INS Upgrades
With 4,000 Carousel systems in service, L-3 ES provides assistance
to
operators of "Classic" aircraft who need to meet
the new CNS/ATM standards Depending on planned usage, upgrades
can be tailored to meet the user's requirements for short
or medium term solutions, in order to meet RNP-10 or better,
as well as B-RNAV/P-RNAV standards. Available upgrades include:

Fixed Price Repair
L-3 ES offer Fixed Price Repairs to take the pricing uncertainty
out of the equation.
A set fee for all repairs is available for all models of
Carousel.
Exchange Leasing
L-3 ES provides general aviation customers with a convenient
and economical maintenance option for Carousel IV, Carousel
IVA and Carousel SIX Inertial Navigation Systems (INS).
The fixed price Exchange Program provides for rapid turn-around-time
at a known cost for each item of equipment. For added convenience
and cost predictability, the Exchange Program can be combined
with and Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) for a fixed
annual fee.
Annual maintenance
Annual Maintenance contracts are available for all levels
of repair to meet your requirements. The AMC allows you
to budget annual expenses for maintenance of your aircraft.
Equipment Leasing
For the convenience of customers who have a temporary
need for Carousel of PMS equipment, we offer a leasing
service. Subject to availability, short or long-term leases
can be arranged for most items at daily rates. Customers
requiring a lease unit for an INU or a PMCU while their
unit is in for repair will be charged the daily lease rate
for a period not exceeding 14 calendar days. In the event
that the customer's unit has not been repaired and returned
within this time, the leased unit will become a loaned
unit and the loan will continue at no charge until the
customer's unit has been returned. The 14-day cap does
not apply to CDU leases. Long term leases for a period
of one month of longer are also available. Please contact
the Customer Service Department for details. All leases
are subject to the terms of the L-3 Communications Electronic
Systems' Lease Agreement.
Parts Obsolescence Management
L-3 ES has ensured the supportability of the Carousel
Program through an exhaustive
Obsolescence research program. This program has looked
at all CIV material to
ensure the availability of parts through Lifetime buys
as well as alternative actions.

On site support or Field Engineer Services are available
upon request. Customized courses tailored to your unique
application are available.
