Horizontal Situation Display (HSD) The HSD is a 6" x 6" AMLCD full colour high-resolution display. The HSD is a self-contained display unit containing graphics and video processing, and interface to other systems in the F-18's display suite. It is configured with embedded TAMMAC Digital Map System (DMS) and interfacing provisions to the AMU and Mission computer, for the TAMMAC. Powerful microprocessors and graphics generators in each display open the door to enhanced situational awareness through a true integrated display suite.
