| ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
AND EXPERIENCE |

Post secondary diploma/certification or equivalent in complex electronics repair |
|
Certification to work in an air worthiness environment would be considered an asset |
 |
5-7 years related work experience including system test and troubleshooting required |
 |
Preference will be given to additional experience in: Electronic and/or (RF)and/or mechanical calibration and/or repair of PC technology in a test/production equipment environment and/or working in a total productive maintenance (TPM) environment |
 |
Able to perform mechanical maintenance/repair using manuals or other instructions |
 |
Intermediate level computer literacy
|
 |
Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to quality |
 |
Able to work in a highly structured environment efficiently, with a minimum of supervision |
 |
Able to understand and follow detailed written and oral instructions |
 |
Highly dependable team player that collaborates effectively with colleagues in a continuous improvement environment |

Must
be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled
Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in
Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian government security

| DESCRIPTION OF
DUTIES |
Employees in this position provide preventative maintenance and repair support to L-3's Manufacturing and Repair activities.
Typical duties include: |
 |
Routine preventative maintenance of commercial and custom built electronic and mechanical equipment used in the manufacture and repair of complex military electronic/avionics products |
 |
Troubleshooting and repair of same equipment |
 |
Maintenance of appropriate administrative records for above activity |
 |
Creation, execution, and improvement of equipment maintenance processes |
| Periodic duties: |
 |
Build of custom equipment or equipment components from engineering drawings (harnesses, fixtures, etc.) |
 |
Calibration of commercial electronic and mechanical equipment/tooling in accordance with appropriate industry standards |
| Other Notes: |
 |
This activity results in the availability of electronic and mechanical production and test equipment for ongoing operations |
 |
This activity requires periodic work with or exposure to hazardous materials (i.e. changing of equipment fluids, etc.) |
 |
This activity must be performed to result in certification of equipment for use on an airworthy product |
