| ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
AND EXPERIENCE |
| Ideally you are an electronics technical with one of the following three as a minimum: |
 |
Certificate or diploma in post secondary electronics technology/technician course |
 |
Qualification Level 5 standing as an Electronics Technician obtained from Government or Armed Services placement |
 |
Equivalent training certificate as an electronics technician in a defence or electronics related
industry
|
| Other qualifications include: |
 |
Knowledge of CP-140 Aurora avionics systems an asset but not required |
 |
3-4 years experience in the testing electronic components, assemblies and subassemblies |
 |
Proven ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings and military documentation |
 |
Above average computer skills to effectively operate automated test equipment and PC based computer systems |

Strong oral and written communications skills |
|
Must
be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled
Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in
Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian government security
clearances. |
| DESCRIPTION OF
DUTIES |
| You will be a member of the Operations Repair and Overhaul department reporting to the R&O Supervisor where you will be responsible for the following duties: |
 |
Fault-finding and isolating units being tested to the component level using approved test programs and diagnostics |
 |
Repair and overhaul, modify, and test aircraft systems and equipment |
 |
Check and repair avionics systems and line-replaceable units (LRU) |
 |
Diagnose malfunctions using technical orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, etc. |
