| L-3 Electronic Systems has a continuing requirement for Engineering Co-Op work term students for the following periods of 1 May - 31 Aug., 1 Sept. - 31 Dec. and 1 Jan. - 31 Mar. 2009. The student must meet the following ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

CO-Op student in an Electrical Engineering Program |
|
Using the general lab test equipment |
 |
Computer skills in MSWord and Excel |
 |
Some knowledge of LabView or similar test software development is desirable |
 |
Interest in working in a Manufacturing environment |
 |
Strong communication skills (written or oral) |

Must
be eligible to meet requirements for all security clearances and conditions of the Canadian Controlled
Goods Program (CGP) |
| DESCRIPTION OF
DUTIES |
 |
Provide sustaining support to Technician with guidance from Supervising Engineer |
 |
Recommend/resolve component obsolescence issues and produce Engineering change documentation |
 |
Under minimal supervision, update/revise test programs on automated test equipment |
 |
Under guidance develop new test programs and Interface circuits for Avionics |
 |
Assist Engineers in other activities |
 |
Troubleshoot technical problems and complete technical investigations |
 |
Establish effective working relationships with employees at all levels within the organization |

Work is not generally supervised in detail and the amount of supervision varies depending upon the assignments |
