The NMS6000 is our 6th generation vessel control system.  Instead of designing simply stand-alone systems, L-3 designed a simplified platform to provide multiple functions using a consistent user interface layout as well as common software and hardware.  Employing modular “Commercial-Off-The-Shelf” (COTS) components, the NMS6000 offers unmatched flexibility and support.  Using Type-Approved marine computers and displays combined with Allen Bradley’s industry leading programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s), I/O modules and configuration tools, the NMS6000 offers proven performance.  Systems meet the requirements for approvals under each of the major regulatory bodies including American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Lloyd’s Register of Shipping, Bureau Veritas (BV) and all others.  Each system employs the latest design techniques including dual redundant communication networks for increased system reliability.
