Cockpits
L-3 Display Systems provides critical aircraft and systems integration
design and support services to aircraft primes, integrators and military
services/users. As an example: For NASA, we developed a fully
redundant, cross-cockpit synchronized, fail safe electronic flight
instrument and engine instrument system which provided aircraft state
data management for their astronaut training T-38N fleet. This allowed
the removal of many legacy federated single function avionics line
replaceable units, freeing up space in the avionics bays for TCAS, TAWS,
and satellite datalink systems.
L-3 Display Systems has integrated several functions
such as a digital flight director into our smart multi-function displays
with robust certifiable DO-178B software.
