The Tri-band Downconverter provides full C-Band, X-Band, and Ku-band coverage and is available with several options. Model 6169-02 provides dual IF (70/140 MHz) capabilities. 1 dB step attenuation, and an auxiliary IF output coupler. Model 6169-03 provides an internal 5 MHz oscillator output (dual). Model 6169-04 provides dual IF (70/140 MHz) capabilities, 1 dB step attenuation, an auxiliary IF output coupler and an internal 5 MHz oscillator output (single).

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Tri-band Downconverter Model 6169 There is now available a proven reliable high performance one rack unit Tri-band Downconverter. The L-3 Communications Model 6169 is a third generation design which has been field tested and then improved. This converter provides full C-band, X-band, and Ku-band coverage with outstanding spur, harmonic and leakage performance. It provides stable synthesized frequency selectability in 1 kHz steps and a bright LED readout display. The unit can be controlled and statused from the front panel or remotely over a RS-485 bus with 32 addresses. This unit has intermod products of 56 dBc with two 0 dBm at the output. Output power is a minimum of +18 dBm, which allows for power splitters instead of power distribution amplifiers. The converter operates to an extended temperature specification of 56°C. This unit will operate in fixed site installations and rugged enough for use in ground transportable applications.

C-band, Ku-band and X-band Up/Down-converters with 1.75 inch high chassis are also available as well as full band Loop Translators. L-3 Communications will custom configure 11.3, 6.2, 4.5, 3.8, 2.4, 1.8 and 1.5 meter turnkey transportable or fixed earth terminals with COTS hardware to meet your specific requirements.
