Leaders and warfighters are constantly challenged today with determining the sparing demands and costs for the ongoing sustainment and logistical support of C4ISR networks and weapon systems. As an integral element in our Integrated Sustainment package, L-3 Communication's Engineering and Technical Services (E&TS) offers a Collaborative Decision Support System (CDSS) as a web-based logistics and reliability simulation tool that can be used to communicate and develop logistical supportability concepts for any C4ISR or weapons system using data-mining techniques that gather and store critical data on parts, sub-system and systems to build models for predictive analysis and collaboration software to seamlessly unite operations. Using performance-based logistics principles, we generate and evaluate operations sustainment alternative scenarios to aid in the decision-making process. Our automated predictive tools help managers and leaders better understand their system cost, inventory status, re-supply requirements, reliability statistics, supply-chain and sustainment requirements and then properly communicate this information across the enterprise.
Our CDSS is platform-independent, portable, a combination of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software and web-based simulation toolsets that have the ability to run any parts or systems inventory for any length of time, and allow data to be added to or removed from the platform at any point, still delivering accurate results.

- Our business collaboration solution is tailored to empower geographically separated coordination teams by providing secure real-time collaboration capabilities that capture critical business information and leverage it in core business processes that facilitate initiatives such as portfolio management, issues management and product lifecycle sourcing.
- Our sustainment collaboration solution combines the data visualization capabilities of Product Lifecycle Management tools we use with our sustainment and maintenance data management capabilities to enable field and management teams to work together on a real-time basis across the entire lifecycle of a system.
