L-3 CS-E is a major participant in the DoD's Electronic Key Management System
(EKMS) initiative and is extending its capability to multi-level secure networks.
This support has spanned broad roles in systems architecture concepts, equipment
design, hardware and software development, including state-of-the-art, custom
secure VLSI and ASIC designs. 
Communication Systems - East's Local
Management Device/Key Processor (LMD/KP)
is the workstation component of the Electronic Key Management System. The
LMD/KP satisfies EKMS security requirements and provides for the ordering, generation,
distribution and accounting for keying material (electronic or physical) and COMSEC aids.
The LMD/KP also provides EKMS system management and audit support functions needed by
a COMSEC account.
CS-E has completed deliveries of the LMD/KP and they are now only available from the government.
