TURRET DRIVE SYSTEMS

Gyro Blocks
(Mounted on the gun motor, turret and hull) generate rate signals to the power drive electronics
TOW Lift Mechanism
Raises and lowers the two-tube TOW missile launcher
Gunner's Handstation
The primary control for positioning under power the turret guns and TOW launcher for firing weapons
Commander's Handstation
May be used to override the gunner and position and fire the weapons
Traverse Drive Assembly
Rotates and holds the turret in traverse
TOW Elevation Drive Assembly
Rotates and holds TOW launcher in elevation
Gun Elevation Drive Assembly
Rotates and holds the guns in elevation
Plug-In Electrical Cables
(Wiring harnesses) interconnect the assemblies
Control Assembly
Contains plug-in modules and modularized high-power electronic assemblies controling turret and weapon elevation motions
