BRASHEAR LP HONORED
AT THE PITTSBURGH TECHNOLOGY COUNCIL AWARDS CEREMONY
Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, September 27, 2002:
Brashear LP was honored by the Pittsburgh Technology
Council as one of the Top 10 companies in Advanced
Manufacturing and as a Top 50 technology company at
the annual Tech 50 awards ceremony. Tech 50 is the
Council's premier event, where fifty of the region's
most successful companies are recognized for making
influential investments, changes, and progress in the
Southwestern Pennsylvania technology sector.
Brashear's innovative
products and technology, sales success, financial
strength, philanthropy, and job growth and retention
were all considerations for the award. "Brashear is
incredibly proud to be recognized for our
technological achievements and our impact on the
community," said Dawn Rucker, Brashear COO. "Our
greatest strength is our human capital. Brashear
employees are solving tough technical problems for our
customers and making a difference in the science and
technology communities both globally and locally."
Brashear was also recognized at the Tech 50 awards
ceremony in 1999 as one of the region's fastest
growing companies.
The Advanced
Manufacturing category typically encompasses
industries that are largely automated and that use a
high degree of process controls, such as computer
numerical control systems, robotics, and other
automated systems. This category also encompasses
businesses that develop and install these systems for
other manufacturers. The awards ceremony was held the
evening of September 26, 2002 at the Carnegie Music
Hall.
