BRASHEAR LP COO DAWN
RUCKER ONE OF PA'S BEST 50 WOMEN IN BUSINESS
Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, April 5, 2002:
Recently, Brashear LP COO Dawn Rucker, was nominated
by Congresswomen Melissa Hart to the Best 50 Women in
Business 2002 competition. It was announced today that
Dawn has been selected as one of Pennsylvania's Best!
This award recognizes
the significant contributions Dawn has made to
Pennsylvania's economic and community development. The
Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic
Development (DCED) and the business journals of
Pennsylvania sought candidates who shared a commitment
to business growth, professional excellence and to the
community -- women who are shaping the economic future
of Pennsylvania.
An independent panel of
judges selected Dawn based on her professional and
personal accomplishments, community involvement, and
advocacy for women in business. Created by Gov. Ridge
in 1996, the awards recognize the significant
contributions women make to Pennsylvania's economy.
Gov. Schweiker states, "As business leaders,
entrepreneurs and community role models...women are
helping [Pennsylvania] distinguish itself as a center
of innovation and technology development." Businesses
owned and/or managed by women generate $34 billion for
the Commonwealth.
