Protection of the Warfighter is a critical element in measuring the success of the battle.  The RWS enables the crews of the numerous Combat Service Support vehicles to defend themselves while providing the critical and necessary ammunition, food, water, and fuel to the areas of engagement.   These lightweight and precision pointing stabilized systems allow the Up-Armored CROWS equipped vehicles to concentrate on the principal threats in the operating area.

When linked to the digital battle field through a communication system, the system when integrated with a GPS enables target location to be provided in grid coordinates.
