L-3 AVISYS’ systems integration effort then expertly navigates through the low-level synchronization of communications protocols between devices all the way up through flight test and logistics planning for the final product.

L-3 AVISYS’ most recent, large-scale systems integration project was the development and shipset installation of the Widebody Integrated Platform Protection System (WIPPS). WIPPS incorporates Electronic Warfare (EW) subsystems from two major European defense aerospace vendors, one of the American aerospace giants and several smaller partners. The result is a complete Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM) solution with international composition and unsurpassed capabilities. L-3 AVISYS’ systems integration process allows the seamless integration of subsystems to create a whole truly greater than the sum of its parts.
