PHOENIX, November 21, 2002 – ACSS, an
L-3 Communications & Thales Company, has named Avitex as their 2002
Dealer of the Year. They have been ACSS’s top-performing dealer
since 2001. Their 2001-2002 ACSS orders to date equal more than $11 million
and their 2001-2002 ACSS sales to date are more than $8 million.
Headquartered in Moscow, Russia, Avitex is a privately
held aviation electronics dealer. The company was established in 1991
and employs approximately 30 people. They also certify, install and sell
a variety of domestic and imported avionics systems, including SATCOM,
IRS, GPS, FMS and ADC.
Avitex has been involved in ACSS’s TCAS business
since its inception. Their first TCAS II installation was in 1995. They
have certified TCAS 2000 and Mode S ATDL systems on Ilyushin IL-62, IL-76,
IL-86, Antonov An-12, An-38, An-74, An-124, Tupolev Tu-134 and Tu-154
aircraft types. The company has completed approximately 150 TCAS 2000
installations.
