ORLANDO, Oct. 7, 2003 – ACSS, an L-3 Communications & Thales Company, announces Dassault’s selection of their next generation TCAS as the standard traffic alert and collision avoidance system for their new Falcon 7X business jet. The new TCAS is the third generation flight safety system from ACSS, delivering a higher degree of integration into its 4- and 6-MCU platforms.

“We’re thrilled to supply our new TCAS to the F7X,” said Joe Hoffman, president of ACSS. “Dassault and ACSS have enjoyed a long-term partnership and we look forward to continuing our relationship as we deliver an even higher level of safety with this next generation system.”

The new system from ACSS will run off of a Common Computing Platform within the TCAS line-replaceable unit. The platform will host the upgraded TCAS software, which can identify and avoid up to twice the number of aircraft over current systems. The improved hardware will also allow operators to upgrade their safety avionic functions by simple software upgrades to include capabilities such as TCAS, TAWS, and ADS-B.
