ORLANDO, Sept. 10, 2002 – The TCAS 2000 traffic alert and collision avoidance system from ACSS is the standard safety avionics package for all new Embraer Legacy, Gulfstream IV, IV-SP, V and V-SP, Hawker Horizon, Learjet 45, 45X and Global Express business jets.

ACSS’s products are the preferred option for many business jet operators, including those flying Citation Encore and Citation X business jets.

“Demand for our products from within the business jet community continues to be very strong,” said Joe Hoffman, president of ACSS. “We’re proud to be the supplier of safety products for these fine aircraft, as well as being the preferred option of so many leading business airframes.”

The TCAS 2000 became the industries’ first second-generation TCAS II product when it was launched in 1997. ACSS’ traffic alert and collision warning system has earned acclaim throughout aviation for its long range (able to track aircraft beyond 100 nautical miles) and its ability to be upgraded for future enhancements such as Automatic Dependence Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B). The TCAS 2000 is the only second generation TCAS II with more than 5,000 deliveries.

One TCAS 2000 enhancement that ACSS is developing is a new Terrain Avoidance Warning System (TAWS) to be integrated into the TCAS 2000. The new product, called T2CAS? (Terrain and Traffic Collision Avoidance System), was announced at the Paris Air Show in June 2001 with certification anticipated for late 2002.
