ACSS leads industry task forces that continually look into enhancements for communications and surveillance, including ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast) and transponder security modifications. This will increase situational awareness for operators by making information such as latitude/longitude position and track angle rate available to the operator, as well as ground-based and airborne interrogators.
