L-3 Communications Display Systems
Delivers 1,000th T-38c Cockpit Display
Farnborough, England, July 20, 2004 - L-3 Communications
(NYSE: LLL) announced today that its Display Systems division
(L-3 Display Systems) has delivered its 1,000th cockpit display
system to The Boeing Company in support of the T-38C Avionics
Upgrade Program (AUP) for the U.S. Air Force. As of May 2004,
L-3 Display Systems has delivered 546 Multi-Function Displays
(MFDs) and 569 Electronic Engine Displays (EEDs). L-3 Display
Systems is currently under contract for FY’04 production
requirements and will provide MFDs and EEDs for a cumulative
total of 359 aircraft. The upcoming FY’05–’08
production contract will cover the remaining balance of 150 aircraft
for total fleet requirements of approximately 2,000 displays.
