NEW YORK, NY, June 18, 2001 - L-3 Communications (NYSE:LLL) announced today that its Display Systems division has completed the production of its 150th Programmable Tactical Information Display (PTID) for the U.S. Navy's F-14 tactical fighter aircraft. L-3 will deliver the 150th PTID to the U.S. Navy on June 29, 2001. L-3's display products are currently on display at the L-3 exhibit at the Paris Air Show, LeBourget, France, Hall 4, Stand B3.

The PTID units are used to receive, process, and display tactical information and are currently deployed in the Navy's F-14A, B, & D variants. The equipment also receives and displays high-resolution sensor video for viewing and evaluation by the flight crew in real time. L-3's PTID enables both the tactical display and sensor video functions to be displayed simultaneously or independently.
