The communications and external video equipment for the International Space Station has been delivered and is operating on-orbit. Data Storage and Recording Systems have flown on Tiros, ITOS, Nimbus, NOAA, LANDSAT and international satellites. The first Solid State Recorders to fly in space using plastic encapsulated memory modules were designed and developed at CS-E. The Solid State LANDSAT and EOS-AM (TERRA) recorders are operational on-orbit and the Solid State NOAA recorders are delivered and integrated on the spacecraft. L-3 Communications has the capabilities to provide quality space systems. Our specialized avionics for space applications are used on the Delta IV launch vehicles and the Missile Defense Agency's Ground Mid-course Defense booster launch vehicles.
