US Army Tactical Command Vehicle C4ISR Integration:
C2V and Stryker

REMBASS-II
Command and Control Vehicle (C2V) Mission Module Subsystem (MMS)

The digitized battlefield of the 21st century requires Command and Control Vehicles (C2Vs) that can survive missile, artillery, and aircraft threats; maneuver at the pace of the M1 Abrams Tanks and M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicles (BFVs); and provide communications through all tactical radio interfaces. The Command and Control Vehicle (C2V) Mission Module Subsystem (MMS) is a critical capability that supports US Army mobile Tactical Operations Center (TOC) Command Posts (CPs).

Communication Systems-East has designed, assembled, and tested the MMS, which can be integrated into either a C2V for support of heavy forces, or a Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) for support of medium/light forces. The MMS components provide Command Post (CP) intercom, secure voice and data communications, location data, and the Army Common Hardware Suite (CHS) of computer workstations. The Vehicular Intra/Inter Communications System (VIICS) provides the vehicle intercom, conference calling, wireless LAN, full voice and data communications while on the move for up to six C2Vs.

Communication Systems-East has successfully delivered (26) complete C2V MMS Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) systems and (7) C2V MMS installation kits to the US Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM), Ft. Monmouth, NJ.
