History

In the tradition of precision watch making... Fuzing & Ordnance Systems (L-3 FOS), formerly L-3 BT Fuze traces its heritage to the Bulova Watch Company, founded in 1875 and the Hamilton Watch Company, founded in 1892. Through a series of mergers and acquisitions in the 1990s, Bulova Systems and Instruments Corporation and Hamilton Technology, Inc. merged into Bulova Technologies, which was acquired by L-3 Communications in December, 2001. For over 50 years, BTFP has continuously manufactured complex ordnance for the defense industry.
