ALST Offers New Diode-Pumped Laser Rangefinders

Advanced Laser Systems Technology (ALST), known for its innovation in customizing laser products for military and commercial applications, has developed two Diode-Pumped Erbium Eyesafe Laser Rangefinders capable of operating at a firing rate of 10 Hz. One of the new rangefinders, designated the "Osprey-5", is designed for pedestal mounted applications such as test range tracking functions with a capability to range out to 20 kilometers against larger targets.

The Osprey-5 is ANSI Z136.1-2000 Class 1 Eyesafe laser rangefinders. They incorporate diode-pumped Erbium transmitters for maximum efficiency and low heat dissipation. Both models are provided with 2-meter resolution range counters. With 5 million plus shot lifetime, these units employ a thermo-electrically-cooled detector in the rangefinder receiver and are designed to operate in temperatures from -4C to +60C.

ALST Inc., founded in 1987 and located in Orlando, Florida designs, develops and manufactures laser rangefinders for commercial aerospace and military applications. Recognized as an innovative leader in laser design, ALST has pioneered the development of eyesafe long range laser rangefinders employing erbium laser rod technology.
